About the position
As an Amazon Picker Packer, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for sorting, scanning, and stacking packages in a fast-paced sortation center. This role is crucial in preparing customer orders for delivery, and it offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate various lifestyles. You will be expected to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items, while adhering to safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Receive and sort inventory
- Get customer orders ready for delivery
- Use technology like scanners, computers, and handheld printers
- Lift up to 49 pounds
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Go up and down stairs (when applicable)
- Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (when applicable)
Requirements
- Candidates must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English
