About the position

The Electrical Engineer at Amazon Robotics will be responsible for system design, implementation, and release to manufacturing. This role requires extensive experience in complex analog and digital circuit design, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a team while owning significant components of a system. The position emphasizes collaboration within an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production, ensuring project success through coordination with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including design, prototyping, validation, testing and certification.
• Owning a large component of a subsystem from concept to fielding.
• Coordinating with all other cross-functions to ensure project success.
• Possessing a thorough understanding of technical principles and concepts in Electrical Engineering.
• Writing and developing functional specifications, design verification plans and test procedures.
• Architecting, designing and implementing complex embedded systems, analog and digital circuit design and systems debugging.
• Supporting product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments.
• Executing tasks to aggressive schedules.
• Establishing development processes to meet industry standards for functionally safe control systems (IEC 61508).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• 5-7 years of experience in electrical, firmware and system level design

• Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
