About the position

The TechOps Engineer Co-op at Amazon Robotics is a hands-on role designed for students pursuing degrees in engineering or computer science. This position focuses on supporting data collection and analysis to assist with root cause and corrective action in a collaborative environment. The co-op will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality products are delivered on time, while also gaining exposure to advanced manufacturing processes and robotics technology.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze and document functional / technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues
  • Conduct periodic project updates and review sessions with cross-functional team members
  • Support supplier improvement initiatives involving data collection, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving initiatives
  • Create standard operating procedure documentations to capture key business processes
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards that engineers, analysts, and data scientists use to drive key business decisions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related education
  • Knowledge of BI analytics/reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, AWS QuickSight, COGNOS, or other third-party tools)
  • Currently enrolled in College/University and must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
  • Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) 6-month co-op between January-June 2025

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
