About the position

The TechOps Engineer Co-op at Amazon Robotics is a hands-on role designed for students pursuing degrees in engineering or computer science. This position focuses on supporting data collection and analysis to assist with root cause and corrective action, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality products are delivered on time. The co-op will involve working in a dynamic environment that emphasizes innovation and teamwork, contributing to the automation of fulfillment center operations through advanced robotics technology.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze and document functional / technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues
  • Conduct periodic project updates and review sessions with cross-functional team members
  • Support supplier improvement initiatives involving data collection, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving initiatives
  • Create standard operating procedure documentations to capture key business processes
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards that engineers, analysts, and data scientists use to drive key business decisions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related education
  • Knowledge of BI analytics/reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, AWS QuickSight, COGNOS, or other third-party tools)
  • Currently enrolled in College/University and must have at least one semester/term/quarter of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
  • Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) 6-month co-op between January-June 2025

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems
