About the position
As an Amazon Sortation Center Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team responsible for the initial phase of the delivery process. This fast-paced, physical role takes place in a sortation center where you will engage in sorting, scanning, and stacking packages on pallets to prepare customer orders for delivery. The position offers flexibility, allowing you to choose shifts that best fit your schedule, with the option to adjust your hours as needed in the future. Your daily responsibilities will include receiving and sorting inventory, preparing customer orders for delivery, and utilizing technology such as scanners, computers, and handheld printers. The role requires physical stamina, as you will need to lift packages weighing up to 49 pounds and perform various physical activities including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching throughout your shifts. You may also be required to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items around, navigate stairs, and work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine in certain locations.
