About the position
As an Amazon Delivery Station Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team responsible for the last stop before packages are delivered to customers. This fast-paced role involves receiving trucks full of orders and preparing them for delivery. You will load conveyor belts, transport, and stage deliveries for drivers. Additionally, you may work with larger items such as TVs, furniture, and appliances, and receive training on how to handle these bulk items using technology. Your duties will include receiving and preparing inventory for delivery, utilizing technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders. You will also be responsible for building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages. The role requires physical stamina, as you will need to lift up to 49 pounds, receive truck deliveries, and follow prompts on screens for various tasks. You will be expected to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during your shifts, and may need to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items around. In some locations, you may also need to work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is dynamic, with moving machines such as order pickers and forklifts. You may be required to stand in one place for extended periods, walk around, or climb stairs. The temperature can vary between 60°F and 90°F, and it can get noisy at times, with hearing protection provided if necessary. Requirements
