About the position

As a CRP Shipping Associate on the 3rd shift at Cummins, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and warehousing operations of our facility. This position involves following established procedures and guidelines to efficiently receive, handle, store, and dispatch goods within a factory or warehouse environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that incoming goods are checked for damage and discrepancies against invoices, which is vital for maintaining inventory accuracy and quality control. Your day-to-day tasks will include accurately sorting, labeling, and storing goods, as well as arranging storage to optimize warehouse space. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area is essential, and you will be expected to perform routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning as part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods based on written or verbal requests or orders, ensuring that all shipments are prepared accurately and efficiently. Flexibility is key in this role, as you may be required to perform other miscellaneous duties to meet business goals. Compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, policies, procedures, and regulations is a critical aspect of your work, ensuring a safe and productive workplace for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.
  • Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
  • Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks.
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
  • Remain flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • Ability to inspect shipments for damages or defects.
  • Experience in sorting, counting, packaging, labeling, and logging inventory that is shipped or received.
  • Ability to perform material transfers on received finished goods and track shipments.
  • Experience in loading/unloading buckhorns, pallets, and shipments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with warehouse operations and utilizing warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies.
  • Licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
