About the position

The Ambulatory Operations Coordinator at UC Health plays a crucial role in providing leadership and support for departmental initiatives, strategies, and projects. This position focuses on both clinical and non-clinical areas to identify trends, create metrics for success, and implement process improvements. The coordinator will assist with patient care needs, manage clinic flow, and contribute to the overall growth of the division while ensuring a high standard of care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and departmental support around system initiatives, strategies, and projects.
  • Develop and roll out training programs for staff in line with departmental initiatives.
  • Track and monitor staff training, identifying gaps or needs.
  • Create strategies that support departmental initiatives, goals, budgets, and staffing.
  • Implement strategic plans and ensure their completion.
  • Maintain departmental goals and tasks on schedule.
  • Run projects and coordinate resources or work groups for departmental needs.
  • Support leadership in daily workflows and coverage.
  • Adjust staffing as directed by leadership and manage day-to-day site operations.
  • Coordinate daily activities of the team and plan work assignments.
  • Anticipate and resolve problems proactively.
  • Investigate patient satisfaction discrepancies and recommend resolutions.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the department within the scope of practice.
  • Ensure clinic supplies are ordered just-in-time and within budget.
  • Create and maintain metrics for team accountability and success tracking.
  • Regularly run reports to track trends and create action plans for negative trends identified.
  • Establish and maintain standardized work practices and departmental SOPs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare ambulatory setting required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's Degree preferred.
