About the position
This position involves a variety of shared responsibilities in a busy practice, utilizing nursing assessment skills and clinical protocol guidelines in a decision-making capacity to provide timely and efficient patient care. The role is located at the West Shore Internal Medicine Practice and operates on a day shift schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Responsibilities
- Telephone triage
- Medication refill
- New consult evaluation
- Patient education
- Perform clerical functions
- Perform all functions of a Medical Assistant
- Environmental duties to support team objectives
Requirements
- Graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited school of nursing
- Enrollment in a Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, with completion required within 4 years of hire
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure authorized in the state of Michigan
- Experience in a health care setting or enrollment in RN Residency Program
