About the position

The Ambulatory Service Representative III - Patient Access role is a full-time position focused on providing exceptional customer service in a medical office environment. The representative will perform various duties including financial reviewing, patient service representation, and managing appointments, while ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed job requirements of a financial reviewer, patient service representative, PBX operator, appointments clerk, and/or medical records clerk.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the site manager.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• A minimum of 2+ years medical office experience including face-to-face customer service, cash handling, patient registration, appointment scheduling, and medical billing.
• Experience in answering a multi-line telephone system.
• 1+ years KSC Experience as an Ambulatory Service Representative II preferred.
• 3+ years of working in a physician, hospital, or medical office environment preferred.
• 2+ years of insurance/managed care experience, including insurance verification.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and web/Internet.
• Epic experience.
• Bilingual - English and Spanish communication skills (oral and written).
