About the position

At Trane TechnologiesTM, we are committed to creating innovative climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation that challenge what's possible for a sustainable world. As the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Program Manager, you will lead, direct, and control all activities concerning the development of manufacturing processes in support of new product development (NPD) programs. Your role is crucial in meeting customer and business objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will evaluate results and make necessary adjustments to keep activities aligned with program deliverables, ensuring that we uphold our commitment to sustainability and efficiency. In this position, you will define, develop, and manage the schedule, resources, and investment needed to complete all required manufacturing deliverables in support of NPD programs that have a moderate to large business impact. You will collaborate closely with the lead program manager and other functional team members to ensure adherence to the NPD phase-gate process, conducting regular stakeholder reviews, and facilitating the integration of new products into the manufacturing facility. Your leadership will extend to coaching and advising other advanced manufacturing engineers and cross-functional team members in the definition and development of manufacturing concepts and processes integral to NPD, utilizing advanced techniques such as Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/A), Production Preparation Process (3P), and Lean Six Sigma methodology. You will also be responsible for developing manufacturing planning and analysis, including site selection, tooling and equipment needs, process capability requirements, and control plans. Your expertise will contribute to sourcing strategy decisions and conducting make-buy analysis for new components. Additionally, you will implement innovative and cost-effective manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency in our operations. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as you will provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design issues, ensuring that we maintain our high standards of quality and efficiency.
