AMER Logistics Specialist, Global Transportation and Logistics

About the position

Amazon is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to oversee AMER carrier performance management for OTS Supply Chain Global Transportation and Logistics. This role involves collaborating with business teams globally to create and implement supply chain solutions, focusing on enhancing efficiency and scalability while ensuring high performance standards from OTS carriers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep dive analysis of performance combining internal and external data sources.
• Systematically resolve problems with data integrity and ensure resolutions are delivered.
• Work with senior leadership in conducting carrier MBR and QBR's.
• Report key business health metrics and observations in business reviews.
• Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions.
• Prioritize, optimize and deliver timely updates for all key metrics.
• Graphically visualize data for easy access and understanding.
• Develop automation solutions for reports, tools, and processes.
• Deliver operational improvements using data-driven approaches to root cause analysis and solution design.
• Maintain continual communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (OTS, Finance, Regional Logistics).
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.
• 2+ years of program or project management experience.
• 2+ years of supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables, charts, data cleansing).
• Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques.
• Knowledge of SQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.
• Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement documents.
