About the position

The AMER Manufacturing Industry Partner Development Specialist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a pivotal role designed to enhance the manufacturing sector's engagement with advanced technologies, particularly in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This position is situated within the fast-paced AMER AutoMFG Industries partner team, which focuses on supporting AutoMFG customers and sales alongside partner sales. The specialist will be responsible for collaborating with AWS AutoMFG sales and partner sales teams to address customer business challenges effectively. This involves working closely with strategic partners to implement solutions that leverage AWS's capabilities in the manufacturing domain. In this role, the specialist will execute partner-attached solutions within AutoMFG accounts across the Americas region, manage the AutoMFG AGS partner pipeline, and contribute to the overarching strategy for the Manufacturing Industry partner ecosystem. Building and nurturing relationships with technology (ISV) and consulting (G/SI) partners will be crucial to accelerating opportunities and driving joint Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies. The specialist will also be tasked with fostering CXO-level relationships with manufacturing customers and partners, ensuring that AWS's offerings align with the needs of the industry. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of various manufacturing sub-industries, including Industrial, Consumer Goods (CPG), and Pharma Manufacturing. They will be expected to represent the AMER Manufacturing industry at executive briefings and conferences, articulating the value of AWS's solutions and driving engagement with key stakeholders. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to interpret data to make informed business recommendations. Overall, the AMER Manufacturing Partner Development Specialist will play a critical role in shaping the future of manufacturing through innovative technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with AWS AutoMFG sales and partner sales to help customers solve their business problems.
  • Work with strategic partners to execute solutions in the AWS Manufacturing business.
  • Drive joint Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy with key technology (ISV) and consulting (G/SI) partners.
  • Execute partner attached solutions in the AutoMFG accounts for the Americas region.
  • Manage the AutoMFG AGS partner pipeline.
  • Contribute to the Manufacturing (Discrete and Process) Industry partner ecosystem strategy.
  • Develop relationships with Technology (ISV) and Consulting (G/SI) partners to accelerate opportunities.
  • Drive CXO-level relationships with manufacturing customers and partners.
  • Represent the AMER Manufacturing industry including presenting at Executive Briefings and Conferences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience.
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • 6+ years working in or with automotive manufacturers.
  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep experience in one or more of the following manufacturing sub-industries: Industrial, Consumer Goods (CPG), and/or Pharma Manufacturing.
