About the position

The AmeriBen Account Strategic Manager is responsible for developing strategies to retain key and complex clients while ensuring day-to-day service levels are met. This role involves fostering deep relationships with clients, managing assigned accounts, and collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders to enhance client satisfaction and retention. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, relationship management, and mentorship of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy and foster relationships with key and complex clients.
  • Work with senior leadership within client companies on account strategies.
  • Act as the lead in managing assigned accounts.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with clients, partners, and brokers.
  • Anticipate client and market needs and articulate them effectively.
  • Lead client meetings, including reporting and analysis of client data.
  • Build partnerships with National sales and other key stakeholders.
  • Mentor team members to ensure overall success.
  • Travel as necessary to meet with prospective clients or other principals.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years in account management.
  • At least 3 years of experience working for a third-party administrator (TPA) or insurance carrier.
  • Sales license required where necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with national accounts or large group accounts preferred.
