About the position

The Territory Sales Representative at AmeriQual Foods is a vital role focused on driving business success by connecting with potential customers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions. This position requires a results-driven individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for building lasting customer relationships, while also maintaining a strong knowledge of the food manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation activities.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients by understanding their goals and challenges.
  • Report out on weekly measurables.
  • Develop and proactively maintain a sufficient knowledge of the industry by building relationships with industry experts to learn growth trends and issues.
  • Attend industry trade shows, trade association gatherings, etc., as part of the company's overall marketing efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and deals in the CRM system (Pipedrive).
  • Work closely with the R&D, sales, financial and operations functions within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, or Food Science preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of selling experience within the food manufacturing or food service markets with focus in marketing, business development or contract manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to manage proposal processes and team relationships.
  • Experience in RTE/shelf-stable food manufacturing company is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
