About the position

The Supply Demand Planner role at Apple is a critical position within the Americas Operations group, focusing on ensuring operational and financial success through effective demand and supply planning. The planner will be responsible for developing, communicating, and executing end-to-end product demand and supply plans across various distribution channels for multiple product lines. This role requires collaboration with various teams to meet sales requirements and optimize inventory management while minimizing risks and material obsolescence.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast demand, inventory, and multi-channel sell-through.
  • Generate weekly and quarterly supply plans that align with Apple's financial objectives.
  • Evaluate risks and implement contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Analyze product sales to identify opportunities for action by partner groups.
  • Collaborate with regional product planning teams to ensure supply plans meet sales requirements.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and New Product Operations teams for new product launches and transitions.
  • Work with global procurement teams to allocate constrained components and achieve raw material inventory targets.
  • Present product updates and recommended actions to the Operations executive management team weekly.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in the product planning process and drive projects to completion.

Requirements

  • Extraordinary analytical capabilities and business savvy.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience presenting to executive management.
  • MBA or Masters Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in complex quantitative analysis, finance, or consulting is desired.
  • Experience in product planning, production control, inventory management, or manufacturing operations is a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically with attention to detail.
