About the position

The Market Manager is responsible for overseeing the revenue and operational aspects of a designated market within Gypsum Management & Supply, Inc. This role includes managing store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and coaching store managers. The Market Manager will also be involved in inventory control, customer service, and financial operations, while driving revenue growth through effective marketing and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall revenue and operational aspects of the market.
  • Assume Store Manager responsibilities at a specific store.
  • Train employees and direct work assignments.
  • Partner with District Manager to achieve market budgets.
  • Manage inventory and conduct store audits.
  • Plan and execute actions to meet rental revenue and sales goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with customers.
  • Supervise Assistant Store Managers and Store Associates.
  • Participate in testing and providing feedback on company initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma with 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Forklift Certification (may be obtained post hire).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service and financial acumen skills.
  • Experience in inventory control and problem-solving.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with POS systems.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and operating instructions.
