About the position

The Regional Account Manager at AMF Bakery is responsible for overseeing the installation and technical support of bakery machinery at customer locations. This role requires a customer-centric approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The position plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of machinery installations and providing field service support, contributing to the overall success of the business.

Responsibilities

• Repair parts in the field and document areas for improvement.
• Lead efforts to provide feedback for cost reduction and equipment functionality improvement.
• Solve problems in real-time to meet shipment and installation timelines.
• Demonstrate professionalism while representing AMF internally and externally.
• Support local assembly by performing builds as required.
• Lead electrical, mechanical, and controls checkout and quality assurance stages of machinery.
• Oversee machinery installation in the field, including erection, placement, connection, and power-up.
• Provide necessary field service support.

Requirements

• 2-year Technical Degree and/or Electrical/Mechanical certification
• 5 years of Electrical Experience
• Ability to comprehend and execute verbal, written, and drawn instructions
• Comfortable working with various hand, electrical, and pneumatic tools
• Sound troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication with multiple levels of AMF and customer organizations
• Ability to learn and adjust to customer policies
• Professional demeanor in customer settings
• Must have own basic tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Field service experience
• Solid electrical aptitude with knowledge of NEC code and wiring techniques
• Knowledge of variable speed drives, sensors, conveyors, PLC, and human interfaces
• Basic machine shop and fabricating skills
• PLC programming capabilities
• Understanding of power transmission parts, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuits.
