About the position

The Manager, AML Financial Crime Risk Oversight oversees the team and leads 2nd-line oversight activities and monitoring of the AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC compliance programs for covered TD businesses and legal entities. This includes managing critical program initiatives and handling complex/high-risk matters and escalations. The AML Financial Crimes Risk Management Team (US) consists of a dynamic group of professionals that identify, assess, and escalate issues, as well as opportunities to enhance processes and controls in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, developing, and managing senior management reporting and presentation material, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure proper engagement and timelines are being followed. They will also be responsible for regular and ad-hoc risk reports to management, board level committees, and other regulatory bodies, working with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of supporting and working with a senior management team and multiple functions within an organization. Critical to a candidate's success will be their ability to prioritize, communicate with all levels of leadership, and their strong sense of accountability. The Manager will provide people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance, supporting compensation decisions, promoting teamwork, and handling disciplinary actions as required. They will lead and manage a team of AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC professionals and oversee the overall operation of a diverse group in an area of moderate risk, complexity, or scope, while growing talent and developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project/initiative success, and achieve business results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the team and lead 2nd-line oversight activities and monitoring of AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC compliance programs.
  • Manage critical program initiatives and handle complex/high-risk matters and escalations.
  • Prepare, develop, and manage senior management reporting and presentation material.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure proper engagement and timelines are being followed.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc risk reports to management, board level committees, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Provide administrative support for business management activities as needed.
  • Lead and manage a high performing team on delivery of AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC compliance programs and culture.
  • Provide guidance, leadership, coaching, and development to direct reports.
  • Proactively advise covered TD businesses of new and changed AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC regulatory and/or policy requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC Compliance programs.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Power BI is a must.
  • Experienced in interaction with regulatory authorities, with a seasoned knowledge of regulatory expectations and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, ability to analyze and interpret data for metrics reporting.
