About the position

The Amnesty Clerk position at Saks involves managing inventory control tasks during the weekend shift. Responsibilities

  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, such as shortages and overages.
  • Replace broken rack compartments and add new labels as needed.
  • Manage and respond to all administrative tasks such as emails and Slack messages in a timely manner.
  • Generate reports and make recommendations to optimize inventory processes.
  • Track and monitor the receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory, ensuring compliance with procedures.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform quality assurance and inventory control activities daily.
  • Conduct data entry to ensure all transactions and shipments are finalized.
  • Identify and resolve order issues to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Report problem trends to management for corrective measures.
  • Perform scheduled inventory audits according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper physical cycle count procedures.
  • Identify and report non-inventory conforming units to leadership.
  • Work efficiently to help the team reach productivity goals.
  • Operate the inventory management system accurately within productivity standards.
  • Cross-train and work in other departments as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, preferably in an automated environment.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Understanding of the English language, both written and verbal.
