About the position
The Amphibious Ship Mission Systems Lead Engineer is responsible for overseeing the integration and installation of mission systems equipment on LHA/LPD amphibious ships. This role involves providing production and quality oversight, serving as a subject matter expert during operations, and maintaining effective communication with various stakeholders including government and shipbuilder personnel.
Responsibilities
- Lead Deck Machinery Integration Representative for LHA/LPD Mission Systems Equipment.
- Provide Waterfront Production and Quality Installation Oversight of Deck Machinery.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Mission Systems Underway Operations.
- Maintain productive liaison with the Government, Shipbuilder and Ships Force personnel.
Requirements
- Former LHA/LPD LDO SWO Bos'n with Afloat Training Group experience is preferred.
- LHA/LPD Well Deck/Vehicle Deck/Flight Deck Operations experience is desired.
- LHA/LPD Marine Corp Cargo and Boat Handling operations experience is desired.
- Secret Security Clearance.
