Amusement and Recreation Attendant

About the position

The Carnival Worker position involves performing various duties at amusement or recreation facilities, including operating rides, games, and food concessions. This role is temporary and full-time, requiring flexibility in hours and days worked, with potential for overtime. Workers will be responsible for customer service, equipment maintenance, and food preparation, all while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Collect tickets and fees from patrons.
• Assist patrons with inquiries and needs.
• Erect and take down amusement equipment such as rides and games.
• Operate and maintain rides and games during events.
• Prepare and serve food items like cotton candy, popcorn, and pizza.
• Set up and clean food service areas before and after events.
• Perform heavy lifting and maintain physical mobility throughout the workday.

Requirements

• No prior experience required, but 0 to 3 months of experience is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be physically mobile and able to perform heavy lifting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service or food service is a plus.
