About the position

The Amusement Manager at Round1 is responsible for overseeing the arcade operations, ensuring profitability through effective management of staff and equipment. This role involves maintaining games in optimal condition, handling cash, and providing excellent customer service while implementing company policies. The manager will also assist in staff training, inventory management, and operational improvements in a fun and engaging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals through efficient execution of company policies.
  • Assist customers and perform minor repairs on various machines without mechanic assistance.
  • Explain game operation or rules to customers and respond to complaints of machine malfunction.
  • Plan and prepare work schedules and assignments for employees.
  • Monitor store inventory levels daily to ensure product availability.
  • Supervise department employees to ensure compliance with operating practices and policies.
  • Ensure all amusement employees are properly trained.
  • Complete reports such as purchase and inventory on sales accurately and timely.
  • Perform General Manager duties in their absence.
  • Monitor staffing to ensure adequate department coverage.
  • Assist in curbing internal and external theft.
  • Change store displays for better traffic flow with General Manager approval.
  • Track departmental sales on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide superior customer service and satisfaction by being visible and accessible to customers.
  • Resolve complex customer complaints.
  • Conduct alcohol and age restriction control in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform all shift duties as required by the General Manager.
  • Assist in recruitment and hiring of qualified applicants.
  • Complete reviews and supervise staff with time and attendance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of retail management experience, preferably in entertainment, retail, or hospitality industries.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid communication skills and critical thinking abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in arcade or entertainment management.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and management procedures.
