About the position

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for Catalyst is responsible for automating daily tasks, servicing customer tickets, troubleshooting issues, and being on-call. The role involves setting up, maintaining, and servicing the Catalyst, which is a system of integrated processes, services, tools, and hardware aimed at improving developer productivity. The SRE is expected to foster a customer-first culture in all aspects of work, engaging with customers to define outcomes and collaborating with team members to achieve set goals. The position also entails leading the DevFactory SRE team to ensure compliance with the Bank's Conduct Principles and effectively managing risk, conduct, and compliance matters.

Responsibilities

  • Automate tasks to assist DevOps, support teams, and end customers
  • Fix support escalation issues
  • Optimize on-call rotations and processes
  • Document team knowledge
  • Conduct post-incident reviews

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in DevOps Pipelines
  • Hands-on experience in writing code using Java/Python
  • Experience in any scripting language such as Bash or Python
  • Ability to run End-to-End pipeline using any stack
  • Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Experience in running web applications at scale on Kubernetes platform
  • Experience with ELK stack, data instrumentation, and telemetry
  • Knowledge of database systems like SQL and PostgreSQL
  • Proficient in troubleshooting techniques and fixing code bugs
  • Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure
  • Proficiency with Bitbucket, Git, and GitHub workflows
