About the position

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Analog Circuit Electrical Engineer to join the Electronics and Power Systems Department. This role involves providing technical expertise in analog circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting for various space programs. The engineer will work closely with government and civil customers, ensuring mission success through innovative solutions and technical leadership. The position offers a hybrid work model, requiring some onsite presence in El Segundo, California.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analog circuit design, analysis, and anomaly resolution support to various space programs.
  • Create circuit level models and conduct independent reviews of contractor hardware.
  • Develop prototypes to validate designs and troubleshoot anomalies.
  • Write clear and concise reports documenting work and deliver presentations to customers and leadership.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert providing technical support to program offices.
  • Maintain analysis and design standards for the space industry.
  • Review and assess internal and external electrical designs.
  • Troubleshoot electronic hardware and design deficiencies.
  • Design and build electronic prototypes for innovation and evaluation efforts.
  • Mentor and provide technical training for early career engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
  • Eight or more years of increasingly responsible engineering experience.
  • Ability to lead teams in prototype development.
  • Experience with circuit analysis tools such as Pspice or LTSpice.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing technical advice to management.
  • High proficiency in circuit analysis, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
  • Twelve or more years of related engineering experience.
  • Strong background in analog circuit design and power systems.
  • Familiarity with reviewing and evaluating WCCAs.
  • Proficiency in mentoring junior engineers.
  • Current and active SCI Top Secret clearance.
