Responsibilities

  • Design high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits, including innovative power converters and other circuitry in advanced complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) processes.
  • Develop advanced power conversion solutions and respective circuitry.
  • Develop through concept, architecture, design, and design integration into high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs).
  • Modeling solutions using tools such as Matlab, Simulink, and Spectre AMS Designer.
  • Transistor-level implementation of the design.
  • Lead all aspects of layout implementation and performing post-layout simulations and optimization.
  • Hands-on lab checkout, silicon learning, and debugging.
  • Support post-silicon activities including product validation, characterization, and production test.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science in one of the foregoing fields with seven years of relevant experience.

  • Experience must include three years of experience in device physics.
  • Three years of experience in analog and digital electronics.
  • Knowledge of mixed-signal blocks (including SAR and Delta-Sigma ADCs) used in Power Management Integrated Circuits sufficient to build analog/digital controlled switching regulators (e.g., buck, boost, chargers).
  • Knowledge of architecture and transistor-level design of analog IPs sufficient to design low-area, low-current analog blocks for power management integrated circuits and battery charger systems.
  • Knowledge of architecture and transistor-level design data converters (SAR ADCs, sigma-delta ADCs) sufficient to design high-ENOB (Equivalent Number of Bits) and fast sampling-rate data converters.
  • Proficiency with Cadence (schematic and layout) and Matlab tool sufficient to model/implement mixed-signal IPs from concept to physical layout.
  • Ability to debug by simulation or on the bench complex systems, such as data converters and power converters (e.g., Buck, Boost).
