About the position

The Analog IC Design Architect at Synopsys is a senior role focused on the design and development of high-performance PHY analog components. This position requires extensive experience in both pre-silicon and post-silicon processes, with a strong emphasis on creating innovative solutions for chip design. The architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the performance and reliability of analog designs, driving the development of cutting-edge IP solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the development of world-class high-performance D2D IPs for customer chiplet-based system design.
  • Designing, developing, and evaluating PHY analog components for pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
  • Defining and finding paths for next-gen Die to Die IP architecture.
  • Customizing PHY designs to meet specific client requirements and performance criteria.
  • Performing design trade-offs to optimize power, performance, and area (PPA).
  • Developing and implementing design flows and methodologies to streamline the design process.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of analog components with digital systems.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Requirements

  • 15+ years' experience in PHY analog design, including pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
  • Strong knowledge of physical IP such as SERDES, DDR/HBM, or Die to Die IO Interface.
  • Expertise in design trade-offs, flows, and methodologies.
  • Skilled in generating and supporting documentation through written specifications.
  • Ability to work across a multi-site team to communicate ideas and find solutions.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging mixed-signal interfaces.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard design tools and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience in leading and driving technical solutions across organizations.
