About the position

The Analog Media Transfer Specialist at Forever Studios is responsible for converting various forms of analogue media, including video tapes, photography, film, and audio, into digital formats. This full-time position requires a fundamental knowledge of late 20th-century media and playback devices, as well as the ability to operate specialized equipment for media transfer. The role also includes responsibilities such as local pick-ups and deliveries, and the potential for advancement to a Senior Media Transfer Technician role based on skill demonstration.

Responsibilities

• Digitizing videotapes
• Authoring video
• Performing local pick-ups and drop-offs
• Maintaining and repairing playback devices
• Understanding customer lifecycle and company/client expectations
• Operating and maintaining specialized analog tape capture rigs
• Encoding video to consumer formats and preparing deliverables for customers

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with computer hardware (Required)
• Basic understanding of modern media software and late 20th-century playback devices
• High proficiency with computer hardware and software
• Excellent attention to small details
• Working knowledge of analog audio/video formats
• Dependable, organized, and reliable
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
• Own reliable transportation
• Live within 30 minutes of Boca Raton
• Authorized to work a 40 hour/week shift

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience with media production software (Preferred)
• 2 years of experience with computer networking (Preferred)
• 2 years of experience in electronics repair and maintenance (Preferred)
