About the position

As an Analog/Mixed-Signal ATE Test Engineer within our Silicon Technologies group, you will play a crucial role in the design and manufacturing of next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) devices. Your work will ensure that Apple products and services can efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. This position requires a dynamic engineer who will be responsible for developing ATE test programs for debug, characterization, qualification, and production of SoC devices, with a specialization in HardIP tests. You will collaborate closely with various teams to evaluate the testability of intellectual property (IP) and debug silicon, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. In this role, you will be tasked with designing and debugging both software and hardware for production, characterization, and reliability testing. You will also be responsible for creating and documenting ATE test plans for new IPs and products, bringing quality and efficient test solutions for volume production. Your ability to coordinate test-related activities between internal and external groups will be essential in driving the success of our projects. This position not only requires technical expertise but also a keen attention to detail and a passion for crafting sophisticated solutions to complex challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with DFT and design teams to evaluate IP testability and debug silicon.
  • Develop and document ATE test plans for new IPs and products.
  • Design and debug test software and hardware for production, characterization, and reliability testing.
  • Provide quality and efficient test solutions for volume production.
  • Coordinate test-related activities between internal and external groups.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Deep architectural understanding of High-Speed Digital and Analog/Mixed-Signal IP.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Semiconductor Manufacturing Process.
  • Extensive experience in New Product Introduction from product concept to volume production.
  • Expertise in ATE Semiconductor Test Methodology; DFT experience is a plus.
  • Comprehensive, hands-on experience in constructing ATE test programs for High-Speed Digital and Analog/Mixed-Signal IP.
  • Competence in using test measurement equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • Proficiency in programming skills for developing and debugging ATE test programs.
  • Expertise in scripting/coding to support development of tools and utilities (i.e., PERL, Python, C, C#, etc.).
  • Experience in ATE High-Speed board design and thorough understanding of signal integrity analysis.
