About the position

The Analyst 3 Finance & Accounting position at Comcast is responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and support to Managers and Directors. This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in finance, enabling the analyst to determine work priorities independently and act as a resource for less experienced colleagues. The position plays a crucial role in driving operational efficiencies and cost savings through detailed financial metrics and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Tracks and analyzes key financial metrics and operational procedures to foster process improvements.
• Drives operational efficiencies and cost savings.
• Participates in the development and utilization of financial models and analysis.
• Prepares budgets and forecasts as directed by Manager.
• Evaluates financial risks and opportunities by creating and reviewing operational and financial metrics.
• Assists with the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reports.
• Researches variance to budget and forecast through detailed operational and financial metrics and explains results.
• Reviews journal entries during month and year-end processes.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and research skills.
• Experience in financial modeling and analysis.
