About the position

The Analyst - ATC and Dispatch Operations Products and Strategy at United Airlines plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the airline's operations. This position involves developing and activating tools and solutions that support the Network Operations Center (NOC), focusing on the needs of stakeholders and operational users. The analyst will collaborate with various teams to create performance reports, gather business requirements, and suggest improvements to operational processes, ultimately contributing to the airline's goal of providing safe and reliable service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and activation of tools and solutions for ATC and Dispatch workgroups in the NOC.
  • Understand the NOC business and stakeholder needs to design and build tools addressing those needs.
  • Develop presentations and generate performance reports to support organizational goals.
  • Assist operational users in gathering business requirements and communicate final analysis to leadership.
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure tools meet operational needs and conduct quality assurance testing.
  • Evaluate business processes, identify requirements, and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Support network and station operations initiatives to improve operational communication and efficiency.
  • Monitor airline performance and assist operational leaders in addressing performance issues.
  • Coordinate with training and change management teams to deliver effective communication and training for new tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience in Business, Operations, Analytics, or relevant fields.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and at least one database management system.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with cross-functional groups.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task competing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel at least 10-15% domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule at the ASC-Arlington Service Center and CSC-Willis Tower.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience in an airline operations environment.
  • Exposure to ATC coordination or Dispatch functions.
  • Solid understanding of airport and network operations.
  • Experience with process/system mapping and analysis.
  • Experience using at least one database management system.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities to adapt to shifting priorities.
