About the position

The Analyst, Business Intelligence position at Acosta involves generating data and insights to support category management and sales projects. This role requires analytical support utilizing various CPG and Retailer data sources, ensuring data accuracy, and developing sales presentations. The position is hybrid, requiring on-site work three days a week in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for category management and sales projects utilizing various CPG and Retailer data sources and tools.
• Ensure quality control of data sources and accuracy of deliverables, engaging with other BI associates and data/tool vendors as necessary.
• Build and update weekly and monthly dashboards and provide insights.
• Participate in the development of sales presentations incorporating syndicated data and other sources that address business issues.
• Work closely with business managers to ensure quality results are delivered.
• Stay informed about clients' KPIs, strategies, innovation, and other important information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of related work experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Windows and related software applications including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Power BI and advanced macros is a strong asset.
• Experience with retailer POS, syndicated data, and/or category/space management tools is an asset.
• Demonstrated drive for results and energy in pursuing assigned tasks.
• Ability to understand and apply basic math and CPG principles in achieving assigned work.
• Effective communication and interaction skills to work within a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with advanced macros in Excel.
• Familiarity with category/space management tools.
