About the position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst at Salt River Project (SRP) serves as a crucial link between the business community and the technical development teams. This role focuses on understanding, documenting, and meeting the business needs related to system applications, particularly within Transmission Generation Operations. The analyst will collaborate with users and technical resources to support business requirements, document functional specifications, and assist in development and testing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration.
  • Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders.
  • Create documentation ensuring that the requirements and design are complete, consistent, concise, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.
  • Conduct internal and external research to gain a better understanding of the project's subject area.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to all levels of stakeholders to share ideas and findings and to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
  • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.

Requirements

  • Proven analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years experience at Level 1 for promotion to Level 2.
  • Minimum of three years experience at Level 2 for promotion to Senior Level.
