About the position

The Analyst, Product role at Freedom Mortgage involves formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and understanding of business systems and industry requirements. The position focuses on developing or modifying moderately complex information systems, analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing logic as necessary. The analyst will support assigned business units, manage projects, and interface with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support assigned business unit, including requirements gathering and project management for new development and integration projects.
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of assigned business processes.
  • Interface with business units to define business and functional requirements.
  • Educate the Business and IT community on applications and evaluate proposed solutions with business partners.
  • Define requirements for testing and assess the impact of implementing proposed solutions.
  • Work with Analysts, QA, and Operations to review requirements and provide thought leadership through the development cycle.
  • Project manage all technical aspects of projects applying agile methodology.
  • Perform assigned user administration functions for the assigned production application.
  • Collaborate with several vendors/partners in the ecosystem.

Requirements

  • BS/BA or equivalent education.
  • Business analysis and agile project management skills are required.
  • Expert in agile project management tools, preferably Jira or Rally.
  • Minimum of three years of mortgage technology experience desired.
  • Extensive knowledge of business processes and technology systems and applications.
  • Proficient in translating business requirements into actionable user stories for Engineering teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and VISIO.
  • Proficient in running basic data queries in analytics tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Advanced understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Nice-to-haves

  • Agile Certification.
  • Experience with products that enable Servicing agent experience, such as Salesforce.
