About the position

The Analyst position at Dow Jones is a pivotal role within the Marketing Operations team, responsible for executing comprehensive campaign strategies across various platforms, including the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and MarketWatch. This role involves managing the end-to-end process of web and in-app campaign execution, ensuring that marketing promotions are implemented effectively and meet the high standards expected by the organization. The Analyst will work closely with stakeholders and technical partners to gather requirements, communicate technical specifications, and oversee the quality assurance of campaigns before their launch. In addition to campaign management, the Analyst will be responsible for overseeing campaign metadata tagging to track and analyze website traffic, which is integral to campaign reporting. This position also requires the development of business logic to create audience segments and personalization strategies that support consumer marketing campaigns. The Analyst will manage a digital asset library and data dictionary, ensuring that all digital assets are organized and accessible for marketing initiatives. The role demands continuous quality assurance of web and in-app placements, as well as user acceptance testing, to ensure that all marketing efforts are functioning as intended. The Analyst will collaborate with the offer management team to ensure that onsite acquisition campaign experiences and pricing are accurate for all site visitors. Furthermore, the Analyst will act as the subject matter expert on Dow Jones' consumer data and serve as the primary point of contact for web vendors, enhancing website campaign capabilities. This position also includes mentorship responsibilities for a direct report, fostering a collaborative environment within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation and quality control of marketing promotions on Dow Jones flagship sites.
  • Management of the website and in-app campaign execution process from beginning to end.
  • Gathering requirements and meeting with stakeholders and tech partners.
  • Communicating and translating technical specifications for campaigns.
  • Quality assurance of the campaign and launch of the final campaign.
  • Hosting regular meetings with stakeholders and tech teams to understand campaign requirements.
  • Overseeing campaign metadata tagging to track and analyze website traffic.
  • Developing business logic for audience segments and personalization.
  • Managing the digital asset library and data dictionary.
  • Performing continuous quality assurance of web and in-app placements.
  • Working closely with the offer management team to ensure correct pricing and e-commerce flow.
  • Partnering with a QA manager to manage timelines and testing goals.
  • Producing campaign reporting to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for website capabilities and consumer data.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in marketing, marketing automation or operations preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in website operations management.
  • 2+ years in a data focused CRM, Segmentation, Marketing Operations or data analyst role.
  • Ability to deep dive into metrics and data for problem diagnosis and solution evaluation.
  • Solid MarTech understanding and proven track record of improving business performance through data mining and visualization.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of Wordpress and the ecommerce space.
  • Familiarity with paywall platforms such as Piano Composer.
  • Project management skills with experience in Jira or other project management software.
  • Attention to detail and proficient quality assurance abilities.
  • Quick problem solving skills to address roadblocks and production issues.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Tableau for dashboard creation.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
