About the position

The Analyst - Capital FP&A position at Energy Transfer is a critical role focused on supporting the financial and operational performance of the company's Midstream assets. The successful candidate will analyze maintenance capital expenditures (CapEx) and operating costs (OpEx), ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals. This position is ideal for individuals with 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Midstream industry, particularly in analyzing and reporting on maintenance capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze maintenance capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with annual budgets and long-term capital plans.
  • Provide detailed monthly and quarterly reports on CapEx spending for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of capital expenditure forecasts, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Collaborate with various departments including finance, engineering, operations, and procurement to ensure comprehensive understanding of maintenance capital projects and their financial implications.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the maintenance capital and cost management processes.
  • Support audits and provide financial documentation for internal and external auditors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience specifically in maintenance capital, ideally within the Midstream industry.
  • Strong understanding of capital budgeting and cost control processes.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with data analytics software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and present to senior leadership.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
