About the position

The Analyst, Compensation position at Universal Orlando Resort involves assisting in the design, development, and implementation of compensation programs. The role focuses on maintaining and developing analytical tools, producing reports for Human Resources and business leaders, and providing compensation analysis and recommendations to ensure market competitiveness and equity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain departmental tools used for compensation processes, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Analyze and evaluate internal and external salary data to ensure market competitiveness and equity.
  • Provide guidance in position analysis and salary recommendations for new hires, job changes, and special adjustments.
  • Audit pay changes and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Audit and submit incentive payments to Payroll.
  • Maintain job descriptions for all roles within the organization.
  • Work closely with HR to ensure job descriptions reflect the duties, responsibilities, and requirements of each role.
  • Update the hourly appraisal system with changes to Non-Exempt and hourly job description responsibilities.
  • Partner with HR Information Systems (HRIS) to request job code and title creations/updates.
  • Partner with cross division HR teams to ensure company-wide Position Management data and Team Member data align.
  • Provide historical position and organizational data to HR and business leaders upon request/need.
  • Generate reports to use in decision making and ensure accuracy of data.
  • Support year-end and ongoing compensation projects including cost scenarios, modeling, and analytics.
  • Support year-end compensation planning for merit, bonus, and long-term incentives.
  • Support administration of salary surveys, benchmarking, and data analysis.
  • Oversee the compilation of data for participation in various salary surveys.
  • Ensure compliance with all wage and hour laws and applicable regulations.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
  • 2+ years in a Human Resources or Finance environment; 1+ year with direct compensation analysis preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation from WorldatWork preferred.
