About the position

The Compensation Analyst at Metrocare Services plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization remains competitive in salary and employee benefits. This position involves researching job requirements, evaluating job positions, and assisting with compensation analysis and administration. The analyst will manage salary administration, conduct job reviews, and participate in compensation surveys, all while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. The role is integral to developing and implementing the company's compensation philosophy to attract and retain talent.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions for each position in the organization.
  • Consult with departments to define core duties and expectations of positions.
  • Interview and survey employees and managers to gather job-related information.
  • Assess jobs to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
  • Benchmark jobs against survey data to determine competitive compensation ranges.
  • Prepare and maintain job classifications and salary scales.
  • Prepare and present summary reports of job and compensation analysis.
  • Gather data from market-based compensation surveys and analyze results.
  • Evaluate and implement job analysis instruments and materials.
  • Conduct data and cost analyses for employee negotiations.
  • Advise HR management on employment regulations and compensation policies.
  • Maintain integrity of internal job architecture through research.
  • Conduct ad-hoc benchmarking and internal equity analysis.
  • Perform market analysis to identify competitive practices and trends.
  • Maintain accuracy of job documentation databases.
  • Create new jobs in collaboration with business leaders.
  • Complete bonus plan review and incentive eligibility record-keeping.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in human resources or compensation administration.
  • Experience in the administration of compensation, HR policies, and programs.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and IF/THEN statements.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of HRIS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
