About the position

The Compensation Analyst at TidalHealth plays a crucial role in administering the compensation program, ensuring that it remains competitive in the market while maintaining internal equity. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements. The Analyst is responsible for researching market data and analyzing trends to provide informed recommendations to the leadership team regarding compensation strategies. As a subject matter expert, the Analyst will support department managers and team members with guidance on compensation programs, pay policies, and best practices. In addition to market research, the Compensation Analyst conducts job analyses using various methodologies to develop accurate job descriptions. This includes participating in position evaluations and classifications to ensure that roles are appropriately graded. The Analyst will also determine suitable base salaries for both external candidates and internal transfers, ensuring that the organization attracts and retains top talent. The role involves completing salary surveys and performing comprehensive market analyses to ensure that TidalHealth's pay structure remains competitive. The Analyst will recommend necessary adjustments to the pay structure and position grades based on findings. Furthermore, the Analyst will assist in managing the annual pay increase cycle, which includes overseeing the evaluation process within the performance review system. This position is integral to maintaining TidalHealth's reputation as a top employer in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the compensation program to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Research market data and analyze trends to provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation programs, pay policies, and practices.
  • Perform job analysis to develop job descriptions and participate in position evaluation and classification.
  • Determine appropriate base salaries for external candidates and internal transfers.
  • Complete salary surveys and perform market analysis to ensure competitive pay structure.
  • Recommend adjustments to the pay structure and position grades based on market analysis.
  • Aid in the administration of the annual pay increase cycle and performance review process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least three (3) years of Human Resources experience in professional level roles, preferably in compensation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, including intermediate level use of formulas and pivot tables.
