About the position

The Contracts Analyst position at Energy Transfer involves managing a specific set of assigned vendors and service contracts related to natural gas and crude oil pipeline operations. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in processing both standard and non-standard service contracts while providing exceptional support to various business areas and vendors. The Contracts Analyst serves as the primary point of contact for facilitating communication between management, field personnel, and vendors, ensuring the accuracy of work scopes and modifications to contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a knowledgeable contact point to provide explanations of contractual, company, and regulatory policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Maintain a service contract information database and generate pertinent information for regular and special projects.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrate proficient organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Engage efficiently with individuals at all levels within the organization, including legal and executive management, as well as vendors.
  • Work with minimal supervision and be self-driven.
  • Utilize proper time management to handle a high volume of data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with contract terms and operational requirements.
  • Maintain organized documentation and records of all contract-related activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within contract management and vendor relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with an emphasis on business or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience.
  • 2-5 years of work experience with an emphasis on service agreements or contracts related to the construction and operation functions in the natural gas/crude oil industry preferred.
  • Good working knowledge and experience in the creation and administration of service contracts.
  • Familiarity with applicable legal and contract terminology, conditions, and governmental regulations, particularly as it relates to construction and Right of Way.
  • General understanding and experience with contract management software, ISNetWorld, and applicable operational requirements, processes, and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the natural gas or crude oil industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction and operations contractual terms and intent.
