About the position

Standard & Poor's Financial Services LLC is seeking an Analyst for Credit Analysis in Englewood, CO. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze a portfolio of assigned entities, as well as complex situations, data, and information, to assess issuers' quarterly and annual operating results against our financial projections. The Analyst will liaise with issuers and investors on analytical matters, assisting in resolving client needs and contributing to media and other investor inquiries. As the primary analyst for complex entities, the individual will make recommendations to the rating committee and prepare materials for ratings publication. This includes developing forecasts and recommending ratings for issuers and debt issues. The Analyst will effectively communicate ratings methodology and procedures to clients, write analytical reports, contribute to thought leadership pieces, and synthesize analysis into rating recommendations. The role requires working effectively with markets and jurisdictions outside of the primary focus in a team-oriented, multi-cultural, and global environment. Additionally, the Analyst will ensure a risk-aware culture and increase the ability to efficiently and effectively serve clients. The position covers a diverse portfolio of credits and involves assisting team members in resolving difficult day-to-day analytical issues and problems. Telecommuting is permitted within normal commuting distance of the Englewood, CO office.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration (finance specialization), or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Experience analyzing financial statements to provide credit ratings utilizing accounting principles.
