About the position

The Analyst, Cybersecurity at the American Hospital Association (AHA) is responsible for safeguarding the organization's digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information. This hybrid role involves implementing and managing cybersecurity solutions, supporting incident response activities, and coordinating security awareness training. The position requires a proactive approach to cloud, email, and network security, as well as a commitment to fostering a culture of security awareness among employees.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage cybersecurity solutions including cloud and email security, SSO access, firewall, and intrusion detection systems.
• Support the cybersecurity team's incident response activities and coordinate security awareness training.
• Conduct regular assessments and optimizations of Microsoft Defender security policies.
• Assist with assessments of AWS and Azure security reviews.
• Implement and maintain email security measures to mitigate email-borne threats.
• Analyze firewall configurations to ensure alignment with security policies and best practices.
• Administer the security awareness training platform and develop metrics for user adoption of safe cyber practices.
• Manage AHA's SSO solution and monitor integrations for secure access.
• Respond to investigations for potential security breaches and implement corrective actions.
• Support penetration and vulnerability assessments and assist in remediations.
• Develop and maintain visual representations of firewall and IDS architecture.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience managing security solutions and technologies for Microsoft Cloud applications.
• Experience configuring application access through single sign-on platforms.
• Experience configuring and managing firewall rules and intrusion detection system policies.
• Experience with Exchange email security Defender for O365 and mail flow transport rules.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra user and group management and configuring conditional access policies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools.
• Knowledge of threat detection and response methodologies.
