About the position

The Analyst, Data Financial Planning and Analysis for JetBlue Travel Products (JTP) plays a crucial role in promoting data-driven decision-making across various functions within the organization. This position involves supporting department leaders in analyzing revenue and cost elements through budgeting, forecasting, and continuous financial analytics. The Analyst is responsible for preparing presentations for senior leadership and conducting ad hoc analyses to communicate financial trends effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager and JTP departments to build and maintain department annual operating budgets.
  • Compile and communicate monthly revenue and expense forecast expectations to JetBlue partners.
  • Build and foster relationships among JTP departments including JetBlue partners.
  • Assist leaders in financial analysis and provide strategic guidance for sound business decisions.
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual presentations for the senior leadership team.
  • Assist FP&A Manager with executive and Board of Director's level presentations and communications.
  • Recognize, analyze, and model various trends within the business and travel products industry.
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting and analyses as assigned.
  • Handle other complex projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; OR a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • One (1) year of analytical experience in data interpretation, trend analysis, and providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%).
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience with Google Data Studio.
