About the position

The Data Governance Analyst at AltaMed is responsible for facilitating and managing data governance initiatives, developing data standards, policies, and procedures, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote best practices in data governance. This role aims to enhance the organization's ability to make data-informed decisions by establishing a comprehensive data governance framework that ensures quality and trusted data across enterprise domains. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to document data requirements and flows, and support the implementation of an enterprise data governance roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage data governance initiatives.
• Develop data standards, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote data governance best practices.
• Document data requirements, data flows, and data use.
• Support cross-functional teams with analysis and measurement of key data governance inputs.
• Bridge business objectives to analytical products and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, public health, mathematics, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in data management, data analytics, product management, or consulting.
• Experience with project management techniques, including cross-functional project coordination and delivery.
• Proven ability to facilitate effective meetings and work sessions across various levels of staff and leadership.
• Prior experience with data governance tools and platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare environment (payer, provider, vendor).
• Previous experience in health care analytics, data strategy, business strategy, or clinical administration.
• Prior experience with product management and agile delivery principles (Scaled Agile - SAFe).
