About the position

The Analyst role focuses on supporting the organization and execution of strategic programs by researching and compiling relevant data for risk activities. This position involves analyzing data to identify trends and issues, maintaining knowledge of business operations, and assisting in monitoring initiatives to ensure goals are met. The Analyst will also help develop communication strategies to present findings to management and recommend innovative solutions to challenges faced by the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing and facilitating strategic program creation and execution.
  • Research and compile relevant data and feedback for risk activities.
  • Analyze data to identify existing and potential trends and issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of business, products, programs, and corporate structure.
  • Monitor initiatives, outcomes, and objectives to ensure goal attainment.
  • Develop lines of communication to discuss results of analysis with management.
  • Assist management in implementing programs that provide solutions.
  • Investigate and recommend innovative solutions to identify problems and root causes.
  • Identify resolutions to challenges and issues to fulfill corporate objectives.
  • Develop plans, reports, and other materials as needed.
  • Provide assistance and feedback to corporate staff as required.
  • Document feedback between corporate business areas and participate in discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • One year of experience in a related field, preferably in financial analysis, planning, health care economics, health care policy, statistical modeling, or business management.
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop project management and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and direct the efforts of others.
  • Proficient in software packages such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a P&C insurance setting.
  • Experience developing and executing a data management and/or data privacy framework.
  • Proficiency in R, SQL, or Python for data analysis.
