About the position

The Analyst, Data Privacy and Investigations will play a crucial role in supporting the Corporate Ethics and Compliance Programs at Phillips 66. Reporting directly to the Director of the Office of Ethics, this position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around conducting investigations into potential ethics violations, which may include issues such as conflict of interest, fraud, discrimination, and harassment. The Analyst will be tasked with gathering evidence through various investigative techniques, including interviews, document reviews, and data analysis, to assess the validity of reported concerns. This role requires the preparation of detailed Investigation Summaries that will be presented to the Director of the Office of Ethics and the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) for review. In addition to investigations, the Analyst will collaborate with Labor Relations and Employee Relations teams to support ongoing investigations and will be responsible for maintaining accurate files and notes associated with these investigations. The role also involves recording investigation documents in the Ethics database and meeting with various stakeholders, including Legal, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Ethics, and Human Resources, to discuss investigation findings. A significant aspect of this position is the development and maintenance of data privacy frameworks and standards. The Analyst will conduct data privacy impact assessments and audits, develop training programs to raise awareness of data privacy requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data protection measures. Providing guidance on data privacy best practices and compliance requirements is also a key responsibility, along with attending and facilitating data privacy meetings to communicate any privacy and security incidents as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed investigation into reports of potential ethics violations, including but not limited to conflict of interest, fraud, discrimination, and harassment.
  • Gather evidence through interviews, document reviews, data analysis and other investigative techniques to determine the validity of reported concerns.
  • Prepare Investigation Summaries in support of the findings and present to the Director, Office Of Ethics and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) for review.
  • Work with Labor Relations and Employee Relations (LR/ER) teams in support of investigations.
  • Report the status of any investigations to Director, Office of Ethics & CCO.
  • Maintain files and notes associated with investigations.
  • Record investigation documents in the Ethics database as appropriate.
  • Meet with Stakeholders (Legal, LR/ER, Ethics, HR, etc.) regarding investigation findings.
  • Develop and maintain data privacy frameworks and standards.
  • Conduct data privacy impact assessments and audits.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials to raise awareness of data privacy requirements and best practices among employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data protection measures.
  • Provide guidance on data privacy best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Attend and assist the facilitation of data privacy meetings to communicate privacy and security incidents as necessary.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 or more years of experience in data privacy roles
  • 4 or more years of experience in ethics or HR investigations
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
