About the position

The Data/Vendor Management Analyst at Ahold Delhaize USA plays a crucial role in data management and supports the contracting and financial planning processes across various cost and income centers. This position requires analytical skills to track, prepare, and present reports related to contractual obligations and financial performance, ensuring compliance with data privacy and governance standards. The role operates in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-person and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Independently partner with key stakeholders to develop, execute, monitor, and refine key business objectives related to contracts and financial budgets.
  • Serve as a key business advisor/resource to all Departments within the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, assisting with contract negotiation and review.
  • Support information security reviews of vendors utilizing Customer Data, collaborating with Legal and Data Governance.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal, data privacy, data security, and data governance to support departments effectively.
  • Oversee the Period close process, reviewing and summarizing results by Department, including accrual entries for contracts and revenue sharing.
  • Ensure all accounting reconciliations are complete and accurate, identifying and reporting variances each Period.
  • Leverage systems knowledge (SAP, Coupa, Archer, SharePoint, Microsoft Suite) to create recommendations regarding contracted spend and operating expenses.
  • Maintain adequate controls to avoid errors and ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Manage accounting/financial planning for multiple projects while facilitating contract review and approval processes.
  • Support additional requests as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience in a business-related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years experience with emphasis on Contract Management and/or Accounting and Finance.
  • Strong presentation skills, both in developing and delivering presentations.
  • Proficiency in using SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Strong Accounting and Finance skills.
  • Expertise in Contract Management.
