The Data Analyst position is a critical role within the organization, operating under the general supervision of the Director of Program Operations and Systems. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive data analyses and producing all related reports that inform leadership about the effectiveness of data management systems. The Data Analyst will leverage state-of-the-art data management techniques to enhance analyses, facilitate system integration, and manage related databases effectively. The role requires a deep understanding of data files and the ability to design and develop data collection instruments and databases, ensuring that all procedures are documented thoroughly. In addition to data collection and management, the Data Analyst will be involved in quality control procedures, which include writing technical requirements and documenting data sets. Participation in project meetings is essential, as the analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to discuss data analysis and management strategies. The position also entails producing detailed data analysis reports, which may include tabular and graphic summaries suitable for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presentations at scientific meetings. The Data Analyst will conduct in-depth analyses of project data, performing computations independently while ensuring the accuracy of reports through diligent data review and resolution of discrepancies. Regular communication with senior management is expected, providing interpretations of data and periodic updates on project statuses, along with recommendations for corrective actions when necessary. The role also involves scheduling, planning, coordinating, and reviewing project activities related to data, as well as monitoring compliance with federal and state regulations. Other duties may be assigned as required, making this a dynamic and multifaceted position.
