About the position

The Employee Relations (ER) Operations Analyst at BlackRock will manage all operational processes and responsibilities across a wide range of Employee Relations activities including, but not limited to, involuntary employee terminations, ER case management, and group redundancy actions. Due to the high-risk nature of this work, an elevated sense of urgency, confidentiality, discretion, expediency, and accuracy are critical to the role. The ER Ops Analyst will also have the opportunity to partner with various HR functions to bring scalable processes as the ER function at BlackRock expands. The role sits within the HR Operations function and contributes to the alignment of regional ER Operations processes and resources in the development of a global ER Ops function.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day operational support to the Employee Relations Team across a broad range of employee relations areas, including involuntary terminations, ER case management, group redundancies, etc.
  • Support Employee Relations Advisors through the creation and maintenance of ER-relevant employee documentation (i.e. severance cost analysis, separation agreements, reporting)
  • Initiate and update redundancy details in severance database
  • Prepare accurate involuntary termination documentation; produce and collate associated exit materials (based on Federal, State and Firm policy requirements), providing to appropriate partners within the process (ie - Employee Relations Advisors, HR Business Partners) in a timely manner
  • Liaise and support the Employee Relations and Legal teams in compiling documentation for employment claims
  • Research and provide supporting materials to ER Advisors and/or Legal during investigations
  • Develop Subject Matter Expertise in ER systems
  • Drive Quality Assurance checks within region
  • Regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in owning the details and driving execution against a set plan in an accurate, efficient and timely manner, raising issues, questions and status across stakeholders proactively
  • 1 -3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong working experience with MS Office applications required
  • Experience with Workday and ServiceNow preferred
  • Strong experience in operational processes, preferably in support of key HR deliverables
  • Acumen in accuracy and attention to detail
  • Adaptable, logical, and capable of flexing solutions to changing demands: anticipating the local, regional, global impact
  • Ability to manage work with the utmost level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy, minimizing risk and drives these to completion
  • Proven ability to build and sustain high performing partnerships, both locally and globally
  • BA/BS degree; certifications and course work in specific areas of HR expertise preferred
