About the position

As a Financial Analyst specializing in Sales Incentive Compensation at Lincoln Financial Group, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and analysis of sales incentive compensation payments. This position involves complex calculations, data analysis, and collaboration with various internal teams to ensure accurate and timely compensation processing. You will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality of sensitive employee data and contributing to process improvements within the compensation team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data preparation for the monthly compensation cycle.
  • Perform complex calculations, analysis, and audits for sales incentive compensation payments.
  • Partner with Distribution, Finance, Revenue Reporting, IT, and other internal teams to resolve compensation questions and requests.
  • Analyze compensation reporting from various sources and validate data for accuracy.
  • Follow established checks and internal controls to ensure accuracy of payments.
  • Communicate trends or issues to leadership.
  • Identify and lead process improvements for the sales incentive compensation team.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for strategic projects.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report on sales incentive compensation payments on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Collect and evaluate financial information from various systems for analysis.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and collaborate with management for future solutions.

Requirements

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience in financial analysis and reporting or compensation.
  • Demonstrated adherence to strict confidentiality in prior roles.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and balance competing demands.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience working on baseline or strategic projects as a subject matter expert.
  • Strong communication skills and professional interaction with individuals regarding compensation.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
